Don't Fight Temptation - JUST RUN

Don't fight temptation, JUST RUN!!!
It is impossible to win a fight with temptation; so, JUST RUN!!!

Feel like watching Pron, shut down the laptop and get out of the room.
Feel like engaging in lustful fantacies, get up and get distracted....
Feel like committing unholy acts with self, get up and get out.
Entangled in emotional affairs, delete numbers and block concerned individuals.

One of the surest way to overcome temptation, is a strong prayer life and a closer walk with Christ.

So, how do you plan to handle your next encounter with temptation???

Overcoming Temptation - Difficult but Possible

It is sometimes very difficult to overcome temptation - but not impossible
In the end, giving into temptation is a choice that we make.
We have no one to blame but ourselves if we give into temptation.
Though, all our senses push us to give into temptation, we still have the choice to give in or not.

Man by nature is tempted to do the wrong thing.
He is ever struggling to choose God and righteousness.
The only way to overcome this struggle and naturally do what is correct is to surrender to God.
When man aggressively surrenders to God on a daily basis, God’s spirit begins to have union with man’s spirit and gives man the strength to choose what is right.
This union is possible because of what Christ accomplished on the cross.
Christ’s redemptive work on the cross makes man eligible to have a spiritual union with God though man’s soul is stained with sin.

When man calls out to God, God sees man as sanctified by the blood of Christ and is willing to have a spiritual union with man.
This spiritual union gives man the power to naturally choose what is right and overcome temptation.
Let us all surrender to God and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit that gives us the power over sin and death. Amen!!

Do Not Reason With Anxious Thoughts

Do not reason with anxious thoughts; don’t try to find solutions to nagging worries;
The more we reason, the more we become anxious.
It is the plan of the enemy (forces of darkness) to keep us locked in anxiety and worries.

The ONLY solution to get out of the jail of fear and anxiety is to surrender them to God.
Whatever your fears or anxiety; however, strange they may be – God is not surprised by them.
God has created you and he understands your inmost fears and concerns.

Take your fears to God as they are and trust God to deal with them.
Again, do not reason with anxious thought – just give them to God in an attitude of trust and leave them there.
Most of the time what we need is not a solution to our fears but the courage to face them.

The more we surrender ourselves to God, the more we will find the courage to face our fears – because with God you are not alone in the battle; you have the support of the Almighty God – the creator of heaven and earth fighting for you.

Trust me my friend, God is not deaf or blind – he is most close to the fearful and anxious.

RELEVANT BIBLE VERSES

Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. – Psalm 55: 22

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. - 1 Peter 5:7

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. - Ephesians 6:12

When Someone Does Not Treat Us Right...

If a man abuses a woman, the man has a problem - not the woman;
If parents mistreat a child, parents have a problem - not the child;
If a wife does not respect her husband, the wife could have a problem - not the husband;
If a husband does not love/cherish his wife, maybe the husband has a problem - not the wife;
The list goes on..

Next time, when someone does not treat us right, lets take a minute to think who actually has a problem.
Then, lets take the time to pray for the person who has the problem.
That way, we will not only be able to take the first step towards forgiveness, but we can also empathize with the person who is actually not good to us.

NOTE: This exercise must be done with the guidance of the holy spirit; there can be circumstances when we actually have a problem - but are tempted to blame the other person.

All I Need Is God's Love

It is not the end of the world if I did not get a career of my choice;
It is not the end of the world if I never got married;
It is not the end of the world if I never had children;
It is not the end of the world if everyone thinks I am a looser;
It is not the end of the world if I had made a million mistakes;

However, it is the end of the world if I failed to realize how much God loves me.
God's love is all that we need to endure any type of hardship that life puts across.

God loves us so much that he gave himself up on the cross to make a way for all those who seek him.

When Jesus died on the cross, he bore the sins of the world so that we would be justified to receive the love of God (sin blocks our relationship with God).

So, the gate is open - all those who want to receive God's love is welcome into his family through Christ Jesus.

RELEVANT BIBLE VERSES

"The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love" 1 John 4:8

"So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus." - Romans 8:1

"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him." 1 John 4:9

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?" Romans 8:35

Is God There - Let Us Reason.

If I don't believe there is a God, then (logically speaking) my belief system includes the following:
  • Good and bad does not matter. This means that I can murder, steal and commit adultery as long as I don't get caught.
  • My existence on this earth is an accident or chance.
  • My life has no more purpose than the life of a pig or a chicken.
  • If I face trouble that no one is able to help me solve, I have no where to go.
  • The flawed/ imperfect judicial system is all that I have to count on for justice.
  • Nothing that happens in this earth, solar system and universe has a meaning.
  • Love is just an illusion or feeling. If no one loves me, then I am in a very pitiable state,

If I believe there is a God, then (logically speaking) my belief system includes the following:
  • Holiness is very important. This means good and bad actions have consequences.
  • My existence on this earth was planned - I am not a chance or an accident.
  • My life has a purpose - which I need God's help to find out because he created me.
  • I can go to my creator when I am in pain, struggle or any other trouble.
  • There is a super power who will judge our every motive and action. There is justice that goes beyond our life time.
  • Everything that happens in this earth, solar system and universe has a meaning.
  • Love is real. If no one loves me, I can still be assured that God loves me.
If we look into ourselves carefully, we will realize that our inmost being desires purpose, meaning, love, justice, goodness and more.... We desire these things because we were designed by God to desire these things. If we were here by accident, then we are nothing more than matter that cannot desire the things of the soul.

IF GOD IS NOT THERE, WHY WILL WE DESIRE THE THINGS THAT ONLY A GOD-PROGRAMMED BEING WILL DESIRE.

IF GOD IS NOT THERE, WHY IS EVIL, INJUSTICE AND LOVELESSNESS BOTHERING US SO MUCH - WE SHOULD BE FINE WITH THESE THINGS NATURALLY.

Unless I take the first step towards understanding there is a God, I cannot go to the second step of knowing how to find him.

I welcome all questions regarding this discussion. I hope and pray that God will be able to use me to reach out to people who are searching for him.

Getting Beyond Perceptions

What people think of me is not my problem - in fact, it is their problem!

As long as i have got the approval of God, I am free to be the person that I want to be and do the things that i want to do - and safely ignore people's perceptions and opinions.

I am beginning to realize the amazing amount of freedom I have when I let God (rather than the world) define my self-worth, value and identity.

For the world, performance is a criteria for acceptance - but for God, honesty is.

As long as I am honest with God about everything and I am willing to work with him to become the person that he wants me to be, I have freed myself from the jail of 'what will people think about me'!

In the end, God has created me to live for him - he did not create me to live for the world!

"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." - Matthew 11:30
